Product Description
Dixie Belle Gator Hide is a durable, water-based top coat that gives painted furniture, cabinets, and wood surfaces a rock-hard, water-repellent finish. It’s the best clear coat for chalk paint when you need non-yellowing protection that stands up to daily use. Perfect for high-traffic areas like kitchen cabinets, tables, or bathroom vanities.
How to Use:
Allow paint to fully dry before sealing.
Apply a very thin coat with a synthetic brush, roller, or Blue Sponge.
Let dry ~30 minutes, then lightly sand between coats.
Apply 2–3 thin coats for a water-repellent finish.
Clean tools with Scrubby Soap and warm water.
Dry Time: ≈ 30 minutes Cure Time: 21–30 days

How to Use

Step 1: Allow Chalk Mineral Paint to dry completely. Stir Gator Hide before use.

Step 2: Apply 1 thin coat of Gator Hide and let it dry completely. Moving in only one direction and minimal back brushing.

Step 3: Apply another coat after 2 hours.

Step 4: May use a fine grit sandpaper or 0000 Steel Wool between coats for a more polished look.

Note: You can add up tp 3 coats.

Recommended Products: Blue Sponge, Synthetic Brush, or Smooth Roller; Finishing Pad to buff

Note: Scrubby Soap can be used for clean-up.
